Screech Sex Tape

Wow.

Screech has a sex tape.

Maybe it isn't so shocking. Seems like everyone has one nowadays.

First McDonalds announces that they're going to have all day breakfast.

Now Tim Hortons has released their own version of the Egg McMuffin!

I don't know whose side to take. Who will win this war besides me? Stay tuned.

Stevie Y

Good on the Red Wings for making Steve Yzerman their newest Vice President.

The longest serving captain in NHL history is being afforded the respect that he deserves.

Good job.

It seems like this blog is turning into a hockey-themed page. My apologies, but the season is so close that I can just taste it!

Thank You Tie

Tie Domi has officially retired from the Leafs.

A great player and member of the community.

Way to go Tie.

A collection of his fights here and here.

Oh and rumours of dating Belinda Stronach? There was a "no comment" to that question at his retirement press conference...

Filion vs Miller

Interesting race that is playing out in Willowdale for the local council seat.

Toronto Star just printed this article today about Councillor John Filion's use of taxpayer money to produce campaign-type literature.

Meanwhile his opponent Andrew Miller used his own funds to print the same type of letter.

Probably will see alot more of this type of spending of taxpayer's money leading up to the elections...

Borat

Everything that I have heard about this new Borat movie is making me really want to go see it. Even the title: "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan"

My buddy Mike saw the premiere at the Film Festival and said that it was one of the funniest things he has ever seen. Adam Radwanski in his column mentions that Borat has taken comedy to the next level.

And now this...

Apparently the Kazahkstan government is so infuriated with Sascha Cohen's portrayal of their culture that they've set up a diplomatic meeting with Bush to express their concerns. Plus they're buying alot of television advertising to combat this.

I really need to see this movie.

Zanta

So I don't know how many have heard of this guy Zanta.

You can see him around Yorkville all the time. He has also recently been banned from downtown.

He is everywhere. Here's a link to a story by someone not familiar with the him.

And he's getting lots of press during the Toronto Film Fest as well. This is nuts.

This is him with Penelope Cruz.

Simply hilarious.

Zanta official website.

Lazy Post

Watched the President's address last night at 9pm. Didn't catch the Prime Minister's though.

I'm just going to link over to Dave's page for this one. Let him do the heavy lifting...

Carrie Garcia

Sirius Satellite Radio is an amazing thing. The programming provided through the stations on Sirius presents a wide variety of commericial-free music to listen to whenever you want.

There is one particular station that I have taken a liking to, it's called Jam On.

I gave my Sirius to my girlfriend this week for her to listen to, and apparently she was listening to my favourite station. She just informed me that this morning she was listening to Truckin by the Grateful Dead on her way to work. Right after a little Robert Randolph.

This is a fantastic turn of events.

I will now refer to her as Carrie Garcia.

Robert Randolph on Jimmy Kimmel

Robert Randolph and the Family Band are on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. Midnight.

Here's a little taste of a great musician from his last appearance on Letterman.

I highly recommend checking out Kimmel tonight.

AC/DC, Prisco, and Pigeons

I just finished this book. It inspired me to share my thoughts on the greatest Rock and Roll band ever...

I remember the first time I ever heard AC/DC. It was back in grade 7 when a buddy of mine threw on the Razors Edge when I was over at his house. I remember listening to that album and just knowing that this is what Rock and Roll was.

He put on the album because he wanted me to hear three tracks. Mistress for Christmas, Moneytalks and Thunderstruck. I though Mistress was a cool tune because of it's lyrics, but I was floored when I heard Thunderstruck.

That same buddy later bought me AC/DC Live (double disc) for my birthday. From then on my musical tastes just branched out from there. I have since bought that album twice as I have had it stolen and lost it on different occasions. From that album I was introduced to classics like Jailbreak (still one of my favourite songs ever), The Jack, Whole Lotta Rosie, among others.

Since then my buddies and I bought every ACDC album we could find.

I've seen Angus and the boys twice now. Saw them at SARStock, where they stole the show from the Rolling Stones.

I thought I was a big ACDC fan until I met one Gord Prisco. When science finds a way to allow men to bear children, he will have Angus Young's baby.

Some notable quotes provide by Prisco on AC/DC...

-"AC/DC’s 'Highway To Hell’ is the greatest meshing of vocal, guitar and content I’ve ever heard. That’s what I aspire to." -- Bonnie Raitt

-"i loved a girl once...she left me...rock and roll has never left me" -- Bon Scott

-"AC/DC will go down as one of the greatest musical acts in history." -- Gord Prisco

If your only exposure to the great music of AC/DC is You Shook Me All Night Long, then I encourage you to go out and buy any other AC/DC album besides Back In Black, and open your mind to what these boys from Melbourne can do with some simple guitar riffs.

Some people say that all AC/DC songs sound the same. To the casual listener that is somewhat true. But if AC/DC is rewriting the same song over and over, then it is quite possibly the greatest song ever written.

Official Gord Prisco Monkey

Gotta give credit to Prisco for this one.

The video of this monkey is genius.

I want one.

RIP Croc Hunter

The world has lost quite possibly the world's greatest crocodile hunter ever.

Funny how it wasn't a croc that got him.

Crikey!

Apparently there's video of this out there. As morbid as that is, it would be an interesting clip.

Yes it's true, I have been desensitized by YouTube.
