Crazy Canucks - The Second Coming

Congratulations go out to Erik Guay for winning the Mens Downhill in Garmisch, Germany on Saturday.

The recent overhaul of the Canadian Ski Team by Ken Read (member of the original Crazy Canucks) is certainly paying dividends. Let's hope this keeps up until the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

Congratulations Erik.

Darkness Down Under

In a move to do its part in the fight against global warming, Australia is going to ban the sale of traditional lightbulbs by the year 2010.

Great idea, except for one small thing...

HOW WILL THE AUSSIES SEE AT NIGHT???

Nobody is criticizing the Australian effort to preserve our environment, but this is going too far.

Howard Stern - The King of EVEN MORE Media

XM and Sirius Satellite Radio are officially going to merge.

I don't see how this could be anything but a good thing. Both companies have high quality programming that spans a wide range of interests.

The only thing I have concern about is the existing customers that made both companies what they are today. Will I get to keep my JamOn Channel 17 on Sirius? Can I now hear Major League Baseball Games?

How much bigger can Howard Stern get?

Populism VS Elitism

VS

Now that The Daily Dyson has been established as THE DEFINITIVE SOURCE for all information that is essential to your worldview, I would like to put it up against another site that has drawn some attention lately.

Daily Dyson VS Tim Tutsch's Scribbles

This site continues to bring you the hard-hitting news items that affect how you view and subsequently laugh at the world. Tim Tutsch's Scribbles does not.

The differences are clear. The attitude towards readers - obvious. Who is better?

You Decide.

Here is Tutsch talking about research showing that over half of all American families are single parent families.

But is it as interesting as a post written here in October covering North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Il's near flawless golf abilities?

You Decide.

Or how about Tutsch posting pictures of his Rugby squad from college?

Is that really better than looking at a photo of a dog that desperately needs to be rescued by the Humane Society?

You Decide.

Here is Tutsch discussing a rack.

And here, a discussion on another rack.

You Decide.

This is not just a decision between brilliant and shoddy journalism. It is a decision between two visions of how you view the world.

Are you an elitist like Mr Tutsch? Speaking about iPhones, opinion polls, and the current political climate of Ontario?

Or are you a decent, hardworking person, just trying to get through the grind of your day by turning to the relevant updates about Britney, wasted spiders, and getting mugged with feces?

One more time - You Decide.

Stem Cell Research

Perhaps we could turn the stem cell debate away from it's current tone towards this one...

Who wouldn't rather talk about boobs over abortion?

Beware Rubbing Oils.

A heads up for all of you manly men out there who regulary use lavender or tea tree oil lotion.

You may grow boobs.

Just wanted to put that out there, seeing as it is probably not one of the warnings on the bottle.
