Born To Run

Great article profiling John Tory in the current edition of Toronto Life.

The editorial board gives it two thumbs up.

Check it out.

Dyson, don't feel obligated to post this but I gotta say...

... I just read 5 pages of irrelevant and biased personal profiling to find the one useful insight into Tory's run for the premiership in the 3rd last paragraph: That he actually doesn't have a strong policy platform and that Ontarians are generally content, for better or for worse, with the policy direction of the current government.

I'm sorry to question the judgment of the editorial board but POLICY MATTERS, that he named his fourth son George doesn't. Let's not dumb it down for voters.

ah, but you are taking for fact the opinions of the writer of the article.

There is a massive policy document released by the party. Go to www.LeadershipMatters.ca to take a look.

Look at that thick document and tell me if you think there is no policy.

if policy matters then i am sure you will be voting for John Tory because at this point he is the only leader and the PC's are the only party that has released any policy ... the liberals ended the house early to start campaigning instead of governing ... policy does matter and thank you for your support ... this is pat harris btw ... i post anonymous

Touche, but then the same holds for the flattering light the author has shed on his leadership qualities. Shall we throw out the whole editorial simply to ignore the one opinion that doesn't fit with the otherwise rosey picture?

The onus is on Tory to convince me he has better policies than the current government and the alternatives, not that his life in politics and as a CEO has made him a good leader. I think Ontarians will see beyond his "leadership matters" moniker (with its subliminal ad hominem attack on McGuinty). We crave substance.

I look forward to learning more about his policy suggestions.

Enough substance for a few hours I think:
